Tom - what about every time you'd come out to Aldie to visit me (1 time btw) and playing Dukes of Hazzard in that red Toyota? Kurt used to say it had "fried chicken" tires on it. Snow studs he could hear coming a mile away. I was emergency brake sliding LONG before these chumps and their tuners.

When you get to the creek flowing over the road, back up and turn right.

I do remember all the above events. I do remember almost dying at Brad Hutton's house. Brad and I were the left side of to o line our Jr. year when Crisp rushed for over 2000 yds. Everyone always talked about Bruce and Jeff Black but 95 % of his yards came behind us. I did almost break my wrist before that hoops game. Only had 25 pts that night because of the injury. I do recall the one time I came to Aldie and rode with Lee " Bo " Duke. That was fun. Wasn't that the truck you had that bad accident in? Good times.

Tom - yes, that was the truck.

Yeah you did anchor that left side. All Crisp's yards: 32 dive, 34 ISO, 36 Lead, 38 Toss Sweep. Couldn't go left, everyone knew it.

Kurt - I wasn't the best communicator back then but those directions ruled.

Ya know, in my original post I wrote "I don't remember Brad's last name, but I think he used to Hump Lee's wife in HS" but then I thought that was too strong....I should have known better in this crowd.

Yes, I remember snowboarding that hill before the game...man we were tough.

But, but far the best story about snowboarding @ Foxfield was when we were in college. We go so much snow that the whole road going up the Foxfield was a covered in at least a foot of snow. Kurt had the white 4x4 GMC and we would snowboard down the hill and Kurt would let us hop on the back tailgate and take us back up the back of the hill. Well one time at the top of the hill. Then as he was turning around at the top he got a little stuck. I know Lee remembers this cause Kurt threw it in reverse with the wheels sharply turned so that when it caught traction the front end whipped around caught Lee and threw him about 20 feet right inot a hardpakced snowbank. Lees was so mad, his face was as read as his hair. Oh, man, more good times! :)

The irony of Kurt being an insurance guy and the worst driver of ALL TIME is strong without a doubt. That son of a gun almost killed me dead that day. Any lesser man would be pushing up daisies right now.

You know he (Seek that is) had the gall to ask me what I was doing in the way?! Holy shit those "anger lessons" from Phil Arra paid off that day.

Yes, I remember the "boxing match" between Seek and Lee on Bruce's back deck the night of Monroe's bachelor party a few years after that. The rage in Lee's eyes told me he was thinking about a cold day on top of Foxfield drive a few years before...ah, the great memories are endless.

Kurt got me good that night. He's got a mean spinning backfist.

Don't feel bad, one night @ J-Romey's during summer break from college, the "Slickster" poked me with a hot hamburger spatula...he wouldn't let anyone else near the grill and I was hungry damnit!

I had almost forgotten the Foxfield snowboarding days! I am still trying to figure out what anyone would be doing in the way of a guy backing up a truck in the snow... and that guy is a fireman now?!?! EEGADS! I am a knucklehead, no doubt, but my MVR speaks for it self. Clean! (That may have something to do with my commute distance and the fact I try not to leave Leesburg)
As I recall Robbie was the one who wanted to go full-speed sparring that night, not me. WHo in their right mind wants to spar a guy nicknmaed pyscho?!?! I don't recall the grill incident but I dont doubt it, I command the grill to this day! Brendy do you remember in college driving around over Christms break looking for snowboarding spots. We stopped at Clakes gap at Route-7 and 9 interchange and tried the steep hills from the exits. Its full of trees now. My kids use the Burton Backhill now. I got that thing in 1982. The 'Flying Tomato' aint got squat on us! I know there are LCHS folks out there reading all of these and not responding, come on '88 chime in.

Who wants to spar with a guy named Psycho? Apparently you did. Oh, I really can't blame you given my "state" that night. I'm glad you got the chance to beat the shit out of me. Very few did. By the way, I distinctly remember my teeth not lining back up for 3 weeks after that punch. Good times...

Oh and I do commend you on the clean MVR. Simply amazing for a guy who weaves like a drunk man.

Glad to see you guys are keeping this site up; I don't post much but check out the site from time to time.

yea, I remember driving all over looking for places to use our Burtons. I can't believe you still have yours. Yours was the original if I remember correctly, with the rubber straps and all. I can't believe your kids use it...that's awesome. I had the 2nd generation one with the 1/2 plastic boots attached to it that you strapped into. I had my Burton until I moved to GA....I figured I wouldn't need it again...guess I was wrong if I ever get moved back up there. :)

Good to hear from you Mark! Do you remember the time that You, Jeff Finn and I took 3 of your 3-wheelers and went all over the back roads and farms out by your house after a big snow? I certainly remember hitting a big ass oak tree on it and being thrown into the middle of the road....ah more good times. :)

The current games inspired me to post this classic.

Mark, glad to hear from you. Anyone else out there?
